YOUR TUITION

In Ghana drumming and dance is an integral part of life. It is woven into daily tasks, celebrations, rituals and ceremonies. Bortier is passionate about the profound history and importance of the drum, the messages that it sends and the ability it has to change and enrich your life. You will learn rhythms from the regions of Ghana and also from different parts of West Africa, such as Mali, Togo, Senegal and Burkina Fasso. As you learn how to play the traditional rhythms you will also gain an understanding of the spirit behind the drumming and dance.
