On a special weekend excursion to historical Cape Coast we will take you to the famous ‘Cape Coast Castle’ where you will learn about Ghana’s slave trade; a very moving experience. On this trip you will also visit the luscious rainforests of Kakum National Park, most famous for its exquisite Canopy Walkway.
There
will be plenty of opportunities to visit Mokola, Accra’s busiest market, learn some
very customary bargaining skills and buy anything from soap and sandles, to
beads and baskets. You can taste the local produce, buy some traditional,
beautiful and vibrant material and have some clothes made by a local tailor.
Visit
beautiful beaches, peruse local cafes and bars, and have the chance to attend a
spirited African Church.
Witness traditional ceremonies, practice balancing water on your head, learn to carry a baby on your back, have your hair braided, listen to a history lesson by Bortier’s brother and watch men weave traditional Kente cloth.
