THE TELEMA TOUR: ENTERTAINMENT

We have an entertainment package specially arranged for you where you will have opportunities to watch and also to participate in live performances. Over the period of your stay renowned performance troups, ensembles and artists will come to the guesthouse and entertain you in the evenings.

This is yet another special part of the tour, where the professional artists, both local and regional, will generously share with you the wonders of Ghana’s diverse music allowing you to see and hear rhythms and dances that you have learnt in your classes.

The Telema ensemble will also
entertain you several times
throughout the 4 weeks.

TESTIMONIES

We really enjoyed our time with Bortier in Ghana, in a steamy location, eating spicy fish and kenke in the streets of Accra. We felt very welcome by Bortier, his family and friends. We miss the people and the music- seeing people break into dance at a passing sound and the spontaneous singing that fills the streets and local buses. Ghana lives music and dance. We spent the afternoons down by Coco Beach getting drumming lessons from Bortier the master drummer. He is a really good teacher and an amazing percussionist, and we learnt alot in the 10 days that we spent in Accra. We were also introduced to many local artists by Bortier. Together we attended a funeral ceremony where we observed African percussion as part of the ritual and attended an exclusive performance by a local Percussion Dance ensemble. We would strongly encourage anyone who has the opportunity to travel to Ghana with Bortier and African Soul, to take it. It is an experience we will never forget.
